Getting there

There's no Subway in the East End. Take the train to Bellgrove, Duke Street or Alexandra Parade, or walk about 20 minutes from George Square past the Cathedral.

Our picks

🌧️ If it rains

A long lunch at Coia's or Tibo, or a pint at Redmond's on Duke Street.

👨‍👩‍👧 With kids

Alexandra Park has play areas and open lawns.

⚑ Flagged or left out: Coia's opening year (1928, Glasgow Tourism only) and the idea that Duke Street is the UK's longest street, which is disputed.
